Searching and Accessibility

Since our last little chat a while ago I’ve added a new button to the Textise Homepage. This allows you to search using Google and display the results in a Textised page.

Difficult to know what Google would say but they should be pleased because…

One of the potentially great plus-points of Textise is the way it might be able to improve web life for blind and partially-sighted people. The screen readers used by blind people should work better with Textised pages and – when I get round to allowing users to specify font colour, font size and background colour – the partially-sighted will be able to tailor it to their needs. I’m hoping to talk this through with a blind chap who lives next door to my mum in the next week or so.

You’re stuck with google.com at the moment, by the way, so no localized stuff.
